A part of data obtained in the Durawood project was presented during the 11th Annual Meeting of the Northern European Network for Wood Sciences and Engineering (WSE), 14-15 September 2015, Poznan University of Life Sciences, Poland as abstracts in Proceedings, posters and as short oral presentations.

During the conference the idea of the Durawood project was promoted among all the participants.

Project kick-off conference Core 2012 Call and CCS 2013 Call

The National Centre for Research and Development, Programme Operator for the Polish-Norwegian Research Cooperation Programme, was organising a joint kick-off conference for projects funded in the Core 2012 and the CCS 2013 calls. The aim of the meeting was to present the projects that received funding in these calls. Project promoters and project partners from the CCS Call projects as well as from the project under the following thematic areas of the Core 2012 call, were kindly invited to participate:

  • Environment,
  • Climate change, including polar research,
  • Health,
  • Social sciences and bilateral cooperation.

The meeting took place in Warsaw, on 23 April 2014. It lasted for one full day and was be divided into two parts – a common opening and group presentation sessions. During the common opening, members of the project consortia met with representatives of the NCBR and other institutions involved in the Programme. Then, the projects representatives were divided into thematic groups, according to the thematic areas of the Programme. In the second part, each project team gave a short presentation about their project and had a chance to answer any questions from the audience.

Our Durawood project was represented by prof. dr hab. Bartlomiej Mazela, dr Magdalena Broda and mgr inż. Waldemar Perdoch.
